Flat tiers. Real numbers. No quote-only on the standard plans. One "device" equals one host, switch, printer, API endpoint, VM, or container — however many sensors it carries.
One plan. Every feature. You pay for device count — nothing else. No feature is locked behind a higher tier; plans differ only by how many devices you monitor and how fast support replies.

Frequently asked
What counts as a "device"?
A device is anything Jallarhorn monitors: a host, a switch, a printer, an API endpoint, a VM, a container. A device can have many sensors (CPU, memory, disk, ping, HTTP check). The license server enforces device count; the sensor scheduler tolerates temporary overage gracefully, so a single over-instrumented host will not blind your NOC.
What happens when I hit the device ceiling?
On a paid plan, new devices past your ceiling are rejected with a clear error on adoption — existing devices keep monitoring, no silent data loss, and you upgrade when you choose to. On Free, if you've put a card on file the account auto-upsizes to Office ($29/mo) when you cross 10 devices so monitoring is never interrupted; with no card, the 11th device is simply rejected until you upgrade.
How does the trial work?
Paid plans (Office and Business) include a 30-day free trial. We collect a payment method up front so the transition to paid is seamless, but no charge runs during the trial. Cancel any time in those 30 days and you are never billed. After day 30 we run the first monthly charge on the day-of-month you signed up and bill on that day every month thereafter.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel from your billing portal at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current monthly cycle — you keep full access until that date and no further charges run after it. We do not refund partial months. Full details: refund and cancellation policy.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not at this time. Monthly only, with no contract. We may add annual billing once enough customers ask for it; if it does ship, it will not require a discount that distorts the per-month price.
How does billing work?
Cards are processed through the Stripe-powered self-service billing portal. Upgrades prorate immediately; downgrades apply at the next renewal. You can switch plans, update your payment method, and download invoices from the portal.
Can we self-host?
Yes — self-hosting is the default. The installer for Windows, Linux, or macOS sets Jallarhorn up on your own infrastructure; docker compose up -d brings up the full stack if you prefer containers. See install docs.
What is not included in any plan?
Things we do not yet have: native NetFlow / sFlow / IPFIX collection (on the roadmap), SOC 2 attestation (not pursued yet), native iOS or Android apps (the dashboard is an installable PWA). We list these plainly rather than implying they exist.
Start on the free tier.
10 devices, every feature, no trial countdown. Stay on Free indefinitely. The only time you're ever charged is if you add a card and your device count climbs past 10 — leave the card off and the 11th device simply waits until you upgrade.
